This Beshir Turkmen rug was handwoven during the third quarter of the nineteenth century (1850-1875) along the Amu Darya river in Central Asia.
It features a beautiful all-over lattice design with a vase like devices pattern in ivory, red, yellow and alternating blues. The border is extra special showcases long vertical tulips which fill the sides and ends.
Overall wear to the undyed brown wool throughout. It remains structurally sound and the ends have been reinforced for longevity.
