This Khamseh rug from Southern Iran was handwoven during the second quarter of the 20th century (1925-1950).

It features a deep color palette of intense blues and reds, the whole lifted up by yellow, and ivory accents throughout the design. The diagonal allover pattern of flowering shrubs is contained by a large main border of mother and daughter boteh alternating with cypress tress.

In excellent condition; original kilim ends still intact.
