This Bidjar was handwoven during the second quarter of the 20th century.
It features an all-over herati patterned field in blues, reds, coral, ivory and green on a midnight blue backdrop. This bidjar lives up to its reputation as the "Iron Rug" with dense tightly packed construction which makes for a heavy and hard wearing rug. A watermelon main border lightens the composition.
In very good condition with a full pile and very light wear The pile is low and dense with a sturdy handle.
