This Northwest Persian rug was handwoven during the first quarter of the 20th century.

It features an allover pattern of small boteh in blues and pinks. The main border is a classic design of leaves and flowers often found in the region.

The pile is worn down in some areas, although the foundation is still intact and edges have been reinforced for longevity. The pile is low, with a loose and airy handle.
