This Shirvan rug was woven the Azerbaijan SSR in the former Soviet Union.
It has three medallions featuring crosses encapsulated in memling guls in brick, ivory, mustard, blues, greens and yellow. It is surrounded by a serrated leaf and tulip border. In very good condition, with signs of wear consistent with age (pictured).
