This Turkmen rug was handwoven during the first quarter of the 20th century (1900-1925) in Central Asia.

It features a classic hatchli design in the center of the piece, surrounded by large borders of alternating chevrons and a lovely skirt border on one end. These rugs were traditionally used as a door cover or entrance to a yurt. You can find beautiful tones of brick red, indigo blue, ivory, orange, and pleasant purple throughout the rug.

In fair condition. Structurally sound but some visible wear remnants of glue in a couple of spots(pictured); Small damaged areas on the bottom edge.
