This Tekke main rug was handwoven during the second quarter of the 20th century in Turkmenistan.
The field features a grid of classic plump Tekke main guls and more skeletal latch-hooked secondary güls. Nicely spaced and slightly off-kilter giving it an organic and free-flowing vibe. It is framed by a dynamic main and minor featuring vegetal forms rams head and directional arrows with a simple yet effective palette of deep indigo, ivory, brown, and two reds. In an unusual and very hard-to-find size for the type.
In very good condition with some visible wear.
