These trouser cuffs were handmade in Turkmenistan during the 20th Century.
Turkmen women traditionally wear colorful ankle-length dresses with baggy trousers in contrasting colors and decorated bands. These trousers feature wonderfully detailed embroidery bands near the ankles in blue, red, orange, green, and ivory on a striped magenta cloth. The backing floral print cloth is visible.
They are in Very Good condition with some loose edging on the fabric.
