This Kagizman kilim was woven in Eastern Anatolia during the second quarter of the 20th century.
It features a repeat field of crisply rendered latch-hooked devices that alternate with diamond forms in tight formation in patinated reds, blues, ivory, and gold. Small rounded protection symbols fill the sides of the field leaving little empty space. Nicely framed by jagged burr-like devices on an ivory ground.
In very good condition, flatwoven with both ends reinforced for longevity.
