This Tekke main rug was handwoven during the first quarter of the 20th century in Turkmenistan.
The field features a grid rounded main guls in orange, pink, navy and ivory on crimson ground. The space between the grid is filled with rows of cruciform shaped secondary guls. It is encapsulated by a lively border features compartments that alternate between latchhooked octagons and concentric diamonds.
In good condition with visible wear throughout. The has a few areas of repair and all four sides have been reinforced for longevity.
